Turkey Place Card Punch Art

 Here's a fun idea to put on your Thanksgiving table.  Put a turkey mint on everyone's plate!

Here's how to build him:

Tail:
*Soft Suede 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch (cut off 3 scallops)
*Poppy Parade  1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch
*Pumpkin Pie 1-3/8" Circle Punch

Body:  
*Chocolate Chip  1-3/8" Circle Punch
*Chocolate Chip  3/4" Circle Punch
*Chocolate Chip Bird Punch Wings
*Poppy Parade "waddle" is Owl Punch heart
*Pumpkin Pie beak is Owl Punch heart
*Whisper White & Choc. Chip Owl Punch eyes

Assemble the tail and the body separately.  Use either the MultiPurpose Liquid Glue or the 2-Way Glue Pen.  Next, adhere a Pearson's Peppermint Patty onto the tail using 3 Mini Glue Dots.  Then adhere the body onto the mint using 3 more Mini Glue Dots.

This is a treat that is sure to please!

Mmmmmmmm! Stamped Cookies!

Halloween Candy Sleeve Treats!

Here's something fun to make for those cute little Trick or Treaters you love the most.  A sleeve of candy topped with Halloween Punch Art!  

 

The ghost is a Whisper White upside down owl (Owl Builder Punch) with the feet snipped off.  It's glued onto a Basic Black 2-3/8" Scallop Circle.  His eyes are from the same punch.

 

The spider's body is a Tangerine Tango 1" Circle Punch.

To make the spider legs: Punch a 1" tall strip of Basic Black CS with the Large Tag Punch.  Slide the negative portion into the XL Tag Punch as shown below and punch to create the shape shown.

Snip this in half and you have a pair of spider legs!  Repeat to make 8 legs.  His mouth is made the same way, just snipped shorter.

 

To assemble the the spider, I first glued the legs onto the Tangerine Tango body.  This is now the back of your spider.  Then I scribbled some glue onto the back side and added a few tiny dots of glue onto the legs.  

I pressed it onto the Lucky Limeade Scallop Circle and then added the eyes and mouth.

O Christmas Tree Pop-Up Decoration

I was very sad when I saw the O Christmas Tree Pop-Up die on the Last Chance list.  I really love this tree.  It was designed to be a pop-up element inside a card, but it makes a great table setting, too.  Imagine using these as place card holders next Christmas!

  This is the table decoration I made using the die.  I think it looks quite nice and would also look great on a mantle or anywhere during the Christmas season!

I used VersaMark ink and snowflake stamps on the card stock before die cutting the pieces.  Don't miss getting these dies now or you'll wish you had when Christmas rolls around in a few short months.  The star is also from the Tree Decorations Sizzlet, so don't forget to get it, too!

Blossom Petals Punch and Bunny Money

Did you know that you can make an adorable bunny using the Blossom Petals Punch?  And I have just the right Easter Treat to put him on - Russell Stover Bunny Money!

 I'm very happy with the results and I hope you try it!  Because I wanted to make a snug wrapper that fit the chocolate bar, I have some rather precise measurements.  But not to worry!  I'll show you exactly where to cut and score so you can impress anyone lucky enough to get one.  Hmmm ... that chocolate looks really good.  I might just keep mine!

1) Begin with a a 6-1/2" wide piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock and cut it to be 5 -13/16" long.  See lower right picture.  Click to enlarge.

2) Stamp with Dotted Spring background using Pear Pizzazz ink.

   

 

 

 

 

3) Place the 5 -13/16" side against the top rail of the paper cutter and position at the 3 -1/16" mark.  Score.  See pic above.  Click to enlarge.

4) Move to the 2 -3/4" mark and score.  See picture above right

5) Using Whisper White card stock and Pretty in Pink card stock; punch 2 large white leaves and 2 small pink leaves using the Blossom Petals Punch.  Sponge all edges with Pretty in Pink ink.

6) Use the 3/4" X 15/16" Oval Punch to make one Whisper White oval.  Sponge edges with Pretty in Pink ink.

7) Glue these pieces onto the stamped card stock as shown below making sure not to cross over the first score line.  Click pic to enlarge.

8) Using the Build a Cupcake Punch, a scrap of black card stock and a scrap of Pretty in Pink card stock; punch 2 black and one pink circle.  

9) Dot each black circle using the White Signo Gel Pen.

10) Using Paper Cutter, cut thin threads of gray card stock to form whiskers.

      

 11) Glue these pieces onto bunny as shown above left.

12) Add 2 large pearls for cheeks as shown above right.

13) Cut a 6" X 8" piece of Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper.  Place 8" side against the top rail of the paper cutter and position paper at the 5 -1/2" mark.  Gently score.  Reposition at the 5 -1/4" mark and gently score. 

14) Continuing from above, reposition the Designer Series Paper at the 2 -5/8" mark and gently score.  Move to the 2 -3/8" mark and gently score.  See picture below.  Click to enlarge.

15) Place Bunny Money candy bar onto inside center panel of DSP and wrap ends over front of bar.  Secure closed with a short 1" line of SNAIL Adhesive.  Only a short line is needed because we want this to be easy to open.

16) Going back to tne Pear Pizzazz piece with the punch bunny on it, fold and sharply crease on fold lines.

17) Place DSP wrapped Bunny Money inside folded Pear Pizzazz piece so that the open edge of DSP is facing the front and adhere to back using SNAIL Adhesive.

Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper meets Tiny Tags

Here's another adorable little Easter Basket idea.  This one uses Sweet Stitches DSP and the Tiny Tags stamp set and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.

 These were made as shown in the video, but I used different paper and stamps.  Another thing I did differently was to pierce a hole before punching out the tags.  See this post for an easy way to thread the linen thread through the buttons and paper ribbon using a dental floss threader.

So Cute & Springtime Vintage Treat Pouch!

 Here's  another fun project using the bunny from the So Cute stamp set.  I think this little bunny with the ribbon around his (or her) neck is so adorable. I wonder how many other projects I can think of to use him (or her) for!

Alternately, you could put some jelly beans or M&Ms in a little bag, tie it with a ribbon and tuck it in the pouch.

 

Here's how to make your own treat pouch.

Begin with a 7" square of Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper and fold in half diagonally.  Card stock is a little too thick for this project.

Using Grid Paper to help with alignment, fold bottom right corner to left edge so that this new top edge is parallel to the bottom.  I've sponged the edges so you can see them easier.  Next, fold bottom left corner to right side so that you have the shape shown above.  

Separate top edges and fold the front side down as shown.  Cut a 2-7/8" square of Rose Red card stock and then cut it in half diagonally. Adhere one triangle where shown.  Stamp So Cute bunny onto Very Vanilla card stock using Basic Black ink.  Color his (her?) ribbon using the Rose Red marker and punch out using the small oval punch. Punch a Baja Breeze Scallop Oval.  Assemble as shown above.  Tuck in a chocolate bunny or other candy and you're done!

Petal Card Punch Mini Easter Baskets!

Easter is just around the corner!  Can't you just see good 'ol Peter Cottontail hoppin' round the bunny trail?  Let's make some mini Easter Baskets using the Petal Card Punch to get ready for him!

 

 

These mini baskets are so adorable!  Don't you just want to make lots of them?

Here's how:

1. From Tempting Turquoise card stock, punch two Petal Card punches.  Cut one petal off of each.  See photo 1.
2. Using Grid Paper to aid with alignment, align and adhere "bottom" flaps together.  See photo 2.
3. From Whisper White card stock punch: 
   one 5-Petal Flower
   one 3/4" Circle
   one 3/4" X 15/16" Oval
   one Itty Bitty Flower  
   Sponge all edges using Pretty in Pink ink as shown in photo 3.
4. Assemble bunny as shown and mount onto a 1" square of Daffodil Delight card stock.
5. Adhere bunny square onto Petal Card box as shown in photo 4.  Fold back one ear if desired.
6. Fold Petal Card box on score lines and, using Mini Glue Dots, join the sides together.  See photo 5.
7. Use Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and a 7" long piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock to make the handle for your basket.
8. Using Mini Glue Dots, adhere paper ribbon to box starting and ending at the bottom to hide the cut ends.  Add a chocolate bunny, eggs or other small candies.  Click photos to get a larger view.

   

Additional Basket Designs:
* Stamp So Cute bunny onto scrap of Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink.  Color his (her?) ribbon using Pretty in Pink marker.  Trim and mount onto a 1" square of Daffodil Delight card stock.  Follow steps 1, 2, 5-8 as before.

* Stamp egg from Easter Blossoms stamp set onto scrap of Whisper White card stock using Tempting Turquoise ink.  Trim out, leaving narrow border of white and mount onto a 1" square of Daffodil Delight card stock.  Follow steps 1, 2, 5-8 as above.  

To have a basket with a design on both sides, follow photo 6 instead of photo 4.
